My last wedding of 2022 at Wyresdale Park in Scorton was a lovely wedding to end the 2022 season!
Emma & Alistair had originally reached out to me back in the December of 2018 saying they wanted to book me as their wedding videographer, and well… you no doubt can guess why it took till December 2022 before I actually got to film their wedding.
Emma & Alistair had to reschedule their wedding not once but three times due to the pandemic but what a relief and joy it was for them to finally be able to tie the knot and celebrate with all their nearest and dearest at the lovely Wyresdale Park Wedding Barns in Scorton in Lancashire.
Wyresdale Park situated on the western slopes of the forest of Bowland is a working farm and country house, and wedding venue. It has a cafe, shops and the much loved Nicky Nook fell. It’s the perfect venue for those seeking an intimate cosy venue situated in the stunning Lancashire countryside with the get away from it all type of a feel.
It is also a family home and you really get that feel when you visit Wyresdale Park. If you are planning an intimate wedding in a family feel type of a venue set in beautiful natural surroundings then this venue should certainly be at the top of your list.
Positioned on the western slopes of the Forest of Bowland, the estate offers miles of walking through fields, woods, valleys and fells.

The Wedding…
On Saturday the 17th of December it was a very very cold day! The surrounding fields were all white and all the puddles were frozen. I arrived around 10am, and as I got out of the car put on my jacked and headed out to get some shots of the beautiful surroundings, I could hardly feel my fingers to operate the camera, it was that cold! I remember thinking, well hopefully it will warm up a little by the time the ceremony comes around and we then after take Emma & Alistair out for some shots.
I was wrong, it barely got above zero all day. However the frigid weather did not make any difference to either Emma & Alistair or their friends and family as everyone was in a happy and celebratory mood and more importantly Emma & Alistair were brave and happy to ignore the cold and go outside and get some beautiful shots in the surrounding countryside set among white frozen fields.
It was a lovely day and a great end to an amazing 2022 wedding season!
